II. What Do I Need to Know About the Mitsubishi Diamana BF-Series Golf Shaft:
The Mitsubishi Diamana BF-Series is built on the one of the most successful golf shaft profiles ever seen: the Diamana Blue Board. In its day, the Blue Board was known for being ultra smooth, yet tight and stable through impact. It was the first golf shaft to use 40-ton modulus graphite, miles ahead of its competition! The 2nd generation, known as the “Kai’li” had the same bend profile, however, had a slightly lower torque rating, for tighter feeling, and slightly lighter weight for more speed. The 3rd generation “B-series” integrated an even stronger modulus graphite, called Pitch Fiber, made in-house by Mitsubishi, which strengthened the shaft even further and added stability that the 2nd generation was missing. This 4th generation Blue Board utilizes a boron fiber and Mitsubishi Rayon’s latest carbon fiber innovation: MR70. Mitsubishi Rayon’s MR-70 is 20% stronger and has 10% higher modulus than conventional carbon fibers. Strategically positioned in the tip-section of the shaft. This hybrid prepreg provides unprecedented strength and stability at impact, essentially making the sweet spot on the club face bigger!
The overarching theme of this golf shaft is one of peak performance integrated into a tour-proven premium level product with stability and forgiveness that basically makes driving the golf ball easier and more fun! What is great about the Diamana BF-Series is that it is offered in a full gamete of weight options making it a strong candidate for those wanting consistency through their fairway woods and driver. This shaft has been seen in the bags of PGA tour players like Kyle Stanley, Justin Thomas, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, and many more!

Mitsubishi Diamana BF-Series Golf Shaft: Mid-Launch & Low-Spin is a great shaft for my 90mph swing. There's a real difference between the stock shaft on my driver and this one.. i have gained the roll out i was looking for and the weight seems to be real true. My mis hits go further too! Great program with the demo shafts! T. Fant on 14th Apr 2023
Have played a Diamana DF 60 S in a Epic Flash SZ 9* since 2019. Past season that became a little too low launch, and uphill drives became a nightmare. The BF brought my launch up 3-5 degrees, and kept spin at a booming 2200. What is strange is a few swings jumped up 5-6 mph ball speed, completely unexpected. Smooth feel with a very well defined feedback on strike location, can get a little lost in the backswing though. Unknown on 10th Feb 2022
I hit both the 60 and 70X. The 60 fell great and played very smooth but ultimately it was just too light for me. I had a tendency to pull it and smother it a bit. I hit the 70 gram X and wow what a difference. I started hitting gentle draws with a higher launch.
Overall, the BF is by far the smoothest shaft I've ever swung. Doesn't matter if you step on it or take a bit off, it's so easy to control.
One more thing. I demoed the same 70X in a callaway 3 wood. Best 3 wood shaft I've ever hit. Unknown on 17th Nov 2019
